It’s the first day of my #FreshGlowChallenge! Excited to document my journey towards an all-round glow.

Tip: Choose what you give your attention and mind to, because as you give your attention and mind to something, no matter what it is, you are summoning it into your life.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are the longest days of my week. I schedule an hour’s yoga practice to help clear my mind and relax my body. A good night’s rest thereafter helps me stay energized to power through the day tomorrow!

Tip: Be disciplined in your exercise routine. Make it a point to exercise at least an hour each time, at least twice a week. Be sure to stick to your routine!

Is it mid-week already? Yay! I keep a bottle of water by my bedside and chug it the first thing when I awake. It helps fire up my metabolism, fuels my brain, and rehydrates my body (especially after last night’s hot yoga session!)

Tip: Drinking water should be the first thing you do each morning. Keep a bottle by your bedside (within arm’s reach) and remember to drink, drink, drink!

Day 4

Thursday = Yoga practice day. No skiving. No matter how busy I get, I find time to make it to practice. With discipline comes progress. I feel myself getting stronger and I’m proud of my progress.

Packed my own lunch to work today too – roasted pumpkin, avocado, honey roasted cashews, romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes and a boiled egg (with a dash of Caesar’s dressing). Yum!

Tip: Praise and bless everything in the world, and you will dissolve negativity and discord, and align yourself with the highest frequency – love. #lawofattraction

Day 5

It’s my favorite day of the week. TGIF, whoohoo! I try to make time for my nephews and nieces – it’s an excellent workout trying to keep up with their energy levels. Don’t have kids or young ones to fuss over? Channel that extra energy/time into exercise instead.

Tip: when you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These chemicals trigger a positive feeling in the body. Glow from within!

Weekends are meant for letting loose and indulging. Off to my favorite go-to Japanese restaurant for a bowl of Chef’s Donburi. The Japanese diet is low in calories, pretty high in fibre and packed with minerals. Japanese food for the win!

Tip: Be sure not to drown your Sashimi in sodium-filled soy sauce. Remember, portion size is important too! You can’t go wrong if you do everything in moderation.

Weekends are great for sleeping in, lying in bed and visualizing. When you visualize or imagine something, you are entering the real field where everything is created, and the physical is just the result of the real field of all creation.

Tip: Our imagination is our most powerful tool of creation. Imagine how you would look and feel to be at your ideal weight.

Day 8

No Monday blues because it’s a four-day work week for me (plus an extended long weekend), hurray!

Packed lunch to work again – my usual bowl of romaine lettuce, pumpkin, avocado, cherry tomatoes and roasted nuts for the extra crunch. Yum!

Tip: think positive! To quote Roald Dahl, “A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely”.

Tuesdays are Yoga practice days. Some days I dread it (when I am absolutely drained), but most days I don’t. I have grown to accept that practice will always be part and parcel of my lifestyle. Exercise is a choice – make it yours!

Hot yoga induces heavy perspiring which helps the body to detox. It also helps build strength and flexibility.

Tip: most yoga studios offer free trials. Sign up at one that is conveniently located – it makes committing a lot easier.

Mid-week whoohoo! Channeling my inner glow today by practicing gratitude. It’s easy – just pay closer attention to your thoughts and weed out the bad ones.

One last day of work before the long weekend. I can’t wait for my yoga session after work tonight! I’ve been practicing for a few years and I can attest to the mental and psychological benefits of regular practice.

Doesn’t lower stress levels and well-regulated emotions sound good?

Tip: Be present. Focus on your breathing to anchor yourself in the present moment to foster mindfulness. If anything, just remember to breathe.

Heading to trampoline park for a workout with friends and work colleagues today. Also made plans to bake pineapple tarts for the upcoming Chinese New Year!

Noted a visible difference in my skin since the start of the #FreshGlowChallenge. My skin is brighter and softer to the touch, I love it!

Tip: Make exercise fun – rope in your friends to do it together. Forge closer bonds in the process and enjoy the workout.

My multi-masking efforts have not been futile – hurray!

Throughout the last two weeks, I’ve been utilizing my precious time wisely by doing things concurrently. For example – slap on the Rose Face Mask for 10 minutes the moment you step out of the shower. While waiting for the countdown timer, dry your hair! Another example – not washing your hair? Slap on the mask before you step in the shower and rinse it off after.

Tip: No time to multi-mask? Do it while you multi-task!

The last two weeks have zipped by in the blink of an eye. It’s been a pleasure to participate in the #FreshGlowChallenge. This journey has taught me to form new habits (like multi-masking) and to take better care of my skin.

Treat yourself with love and respect, and you will attract people who show you love and respect.

Tip: Feeling happy now is the fastest way to manifest good things in your life.
