She likes to get her hands dirty and that includes making her own clothes and accessories, testing makeup and skincare and dabbling in random projects like watercolor painting and calligraphy. Dressing up is her favorite hobby. She likes to try different fashion styles from vintage to minimalist so her outfit is never boring!


  • It takes 7 days to form a habit. My goal for the next 14 days is to kickstart a healthier lifestyle and make it a routine – a habit.

I usually start my day with a variety of fruits; apple, pear, dragonfruit, guava, papaya, banana.

You can imagine how colorful the fruit bowl looks. I also take Vitamin C tablets in the morning.

Apple, pear, guava, dragonfruit all contain antioxidant nutrients such as Vitamin C. Vitamin C is my favorite because it helps strengthen the immune system and maintains bones. Most importantly, it’s good for your skin. (There’s a reason why people put Vitamin C on their face too!)

Hence the Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask is my favorite mask for this very reason!

Onward to my day! Wore a bright red top to reflect my mood for the day – bright! Colleagues commented on my overall look being bright, great difference in my skin with just morning care.

Had tomato-based pasta for lunch. May not be the healthiest with so much carbohydrates but tomato has some health benefits still right? I also couldn’t resist getting waffles with ice cream. I have a sweet tooth.

Morning: Face is glowing after the mask session last night. Had a thin layer of make-up but my complexion was on point!

Lunch: Had Poke bowl today. Love how fresh the sashimi and greens are. Very light and clean lunch to power the rest of the day.

Dinner: Had a couple of drinks with colleagues today. CHEAT DAY! Went back a little late so to make up for the lack of time, I added the Seaberry Skin Nutrition Booster to my other overnight mask with a 3-minute facial massage focused on the lymph nodes to hopefully reduce the swelling of my face tomorrow.

Facial massages always refresh me!

Tip: massage the dimple behind your ears and push downwards towards your neck.

Had fruits this morning again, this time with prunes and a banana. While banana is a “fatty” fruit with a high sugar content, it provides energy which helps kickstart your day!

Feeling a little 90’s today, wanted to channel a bit of vintage rock ’n’ roll so I went with a band tee, bell bottom jeans and a pair of boots. Sometimes being confident in what you wear is a type of “GLOW”! Be confident and dare to be different!

Everyone glows in their own way.

Anyway, I felt dehydrated today so I made sure that I drank at least 1.5 liters of water today. Made sure I brought an empty bottle to client’s meetings to fill with water.

Ended the day with the Rose Face Mask that hydrates the skin, leaving it supple like baby skin. Can’t stop thinking about the super amazing squid ink pasta I had for dinner. The crispy soft shell crab with fish roe was a good side! We all deserve to indulge in a bit of good food right?

After masking last night, woke up with skin feeling moisturized! Had a good make-up day again. Used the Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream followed by Peony Brightening UV Shield Sunscreen SPF 50+.

Had papaya and prune this morning. Love papaya for its taste and benefits. It helps improve digestion and is loaded with anti-oxidants.

Ended the day by firstly prepping my skin with the Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask, followed by the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. Black tea is also packed with anti-oxidants that hydrate the skin.

Anti-oxidants should definitely be consumed and be part of your skincare routine!

Day 6

Thank God for the weekend! Am usually extremely lazy but for this weekend, pulled myself out of bed to do sets of static exercises.

Full body workout for bikini body; Push ups, tricep dips, laydown push ups, squat jumps, squats, X-jump, sit ups, crunches, abs bicycle and mountain climber.

After working out and having a shower, I like to cool my face down by soaking cotton pads with toner and placing it on my face for 3 minutes. Helps reduce redness. Grabbed a low fat skinny latte after workout!

To complete the day, I cooked a simple meal with my boyfriend. Home cooked meals are healthier since you can control the oil and salt amount!

Went for a walk at Henderson Wave today to watch the sunset.

Did walking lunges to increase my heart rate and a light jog back to my place.

The view from Henderson Wave is amazing. Saw the golden sun setting against Singapore’s skyline – felt very peaceful. Stared at the skyline and reminded myself to breathe, relax and be at peace.

Sometimes you are so busy with work and caught up in your life that you forget the simplest thing – to breathe.

Felt really refreshed after exercising. Went to the supermart to pick up ingredients to cook. We made tomato-based seafood pasta – simple and yummy! Grabbed my favorite ice tea along the way – low fat!

Received my juices today! I’ve never had green juices so I’m excited to try them. While the ingredients really sound like everything that I don’t eat, I am keeping an open mind to try!

Had the seasonal greens juice today – a little spicy but tasted interesting. It was a good detox!

I also got a new humidifier for my table! My skin has been dehydrated especially from spending long hours in the office! This humidifier diffuses scent so it really perks you up at work!

After work, I went for a Calisthentics class for the first time at The Branc Shapes Co. They were not joking when they said their workouts are super chill. They definitely are! Did the sets at my own pace.

Went for a “clean” dinner after that. Clear soup with handmade noodles. Less salt and oil – a healthier choice!

Started the day with the usual – fruits and a cleansing juice. Had the orange one which was surprisingly refreshing. It contained my favorite vitamin – Vitamin C!

Met the boyfriend for lunch and we had Japanese food – Chirashi Don with scallop slices as sides. I try not to eat too much carbohydrates so my trick is to give my rice to my boyfriend (hahaha)!

After work, I checked out classes on Guavapass again. I love how convenient it is to check for classes across tons of gyms. Headed down to a gym in town for circuit class. Really felt the burn in my arms from the weight exercises! Goodbye butterfly arms and hello toned arms!

Ended the day with the Rose Face Mask to hydrate my tired skin.

Had a green juice to start my day. The juices have really been a good detox, feeling cleaner inside.

Went to a café for lunch. Had a sinful lunch – pancakes and this amazing iced coffee served with milk. While I can’t totally stop drinking coffee, I try to make each time healthier with skinny milk/low fat milk and no sugar! Everyone needs their caffeine right?

I also couldn’t resist having KOI during tea break… 25% sugar only, I promise!

Went for Power Pilates through Guavapass today. Took a while to get used to the pilates but it was a good workout. Got my heart pumping, good cardio! Hopefully I burnt all the calories from my sinful lunch!

Started the day with a very busy morning with back-to-back meetings. Thank God for the juice. It’s very convenient to drink during meetings and be full.

Had a fancy lunch with the media owner. The prawn with Sashimi was so good! Sinful lunch once again because I could not resist some good ol’ desserts at the end of the meal.

After the long day, I went for a HIIT class and boy, was it a good workout! I’ve been enjoying the variety of classes available on Guavapass where I can pick and try new classes that I have never done before.

Possibly one of the worst days I’ve had in 2017. Received bad news just before the weekend. I feel defeated, betrayed (to a certain extent) and angry at the news I’ve heard.

It took a while for me to calm down.
I was at a loss, not knowing what to do. But this is life. It throws you curveballs that create meaning and adds “colors” to living. Without trials and problems, life would be meaningless and colorless. It took me a while to see through this and understand that this issue will not bring me down and I just have to find a way to deal with it like any other issue.

Did watercolor painting to take my mind off this depressing news. Everyone has a different way of handling stress or negative news. Some meditate, some exercise. I like to paint. The colors that come together to give meaning to the picture is fulfilling and gives me a sense of peace.

Of course I have to end my day with some sweets to cheer myself up. What can do the job better than some good ol’ pancakes.

Day 13

It’s the weekend! I’m determined not to let yesterday’s drama affect me. Did some static exercises in the morning to get the heart pumping hard.

Went out on a date night with my boyfriend at a restaurant that we love. Had pasta and mussels. Ended the night with some desserts of course.

Used the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask before tucking into bed! My skin felt instantly rejuvenated.
I usually put on my night time skincare after masking. For the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, I only needed to put on the Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream and it was enough!

It’s the last day of the challenge! I’m proud to say that at the end of this challenge, exercising has become part of my routine! Masking is also now incorporated into my skincare routine and is an essential part of achieving a daily glow.

Unfortunately, eating clean is still not my thing but hey, as long as you exercise, there is still output right?

On the final day of my challenge, I went for brunch with my mum. Pancakes again! Notice the glow on my face after the 14-day challenge? As long as your skin is hydrated, your make-up stays well and your skin naturally radiates!
